UC College of Engineering Hosts Battery Review for Upcoming CELE Takers

Building stronger foundations one lecture at a time, the University of the Cordilleras (UC) College of Engineering successfully conducted a comprehensive three-day Battery Review for Civil Engineering Licensure Examination (CELE) takers from September 21 to 23, 2026. The special lecture series brought together civil engineering students eager to gain valuable insights, master complex formulas, and refine key problem-solving strategies to excel in their upcoming assessments and board examinations.

The event featured an esteemed lineup of guest speakers who shared their industry expertise, review strategies, and academic excellence to inspire the next generation of civil engineers:

  • September 21: Engr. Julian Rikki Reyes (Top 7, November 2022 CE Licensure Exam) kicked off the series by sharing high-yield review techniques and top-notch problem-solving approaches.
  • September 22: Engr. Julious Macalinao (Senior Lecturer and Review Director of Megareview – Manila) delivered an intensive module focused on core engineering concepts and strategic test-taking methodologies.
  • September 23: Engr. Christian Mark Macapagao (Summa Cum Laude and Top 3, November 2019 CE Licensure Exam) concluded the review with advanced application strategies and motivational insights on maintaining focus under pressure.

The UC College of Engineering extends its heartfelt gratitude to the distinguished speakers for their dedication and invaluable guidance. Through initiatives like these, future civil engineers continue to level up their technical mastery, standing ready to push forward and make their mark in the profession.

This three-day battery review directly reinforces the principles of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals by connecting rigorous academic preparation with sustainable development needs. By providing specialized mentorship from top-performing professionals and industry leaders, the initiative advances SDG 4 (Quality Education) through target-driven, high-caliber learning opportunities. Strengthening the analytical and structural competence of civil engineering students directly supports SDG 9 (Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure), preparing future engineers to design resilient, safe, and sustainable infrastructure for tomorrow’s communities. Furthermore, bringing together academic institutions, top board placers, and review directors exemplifies SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals), illustrating how collaborative knowledge-sharing builds a powerful support system for emerging engineering leaders.
