The University of the Cordilleras – College of Engineering successfully conducted its 2nd Hardhatting and Pinning Ceremony on July 6, 2026, celebrating a significant milestone in the academic and professional journey of its student engineers. The event brought together students, parents, faculty members, and distinguished guests in a meaningful ceremony that recognized the dedication, perseverance, and commitment of future engineering professionals as they prepare for the next phase of their engineering education.
Serving as one of the College’s most meaningful academic traditions, the Hardhatting and Pinning Ceremony symbolizes the transition from classroom learning to professional preparation. More than the presentation of hard hats and pins, the ceremony signifies each student’s commitment to upholding the values, responsibilities, and ethical standards expected of future engineers who will contribute to society through innovation, competence, and service.
The program formally commenced with an inspiring welcome address delivered by Dr. Ellen Macabiog, Dean of the College of Engineering, who encouraged the students to pursue excellence with integrity, resilience, and professionalism.
