The University of the Cordilleras (UC) Computer Engineering students once again proved their excellence as they emerged as top performers during the 2026 ICpEP Regional CpE Challenge, held on January 15–16, 2026 at Kalinga State University – Bulanao Campus, Tabuk, Kalinga City.
Organized as part of the ICpEP-CAR General Membership Assembly, the two-day event gathered Computer Engineering students from across the Cordillera region to compete in technical and academic competitions that tested knowledge, innovation, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.

These victories highlight not only the technical competence of UC students but also their strong collaboration, creativity, and competitive spirit.
UC’s strong performance also reflects its contribution to key United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Through active participation in programming, hardware systems, and innovation-driven challenges, the university advances SDG 4: Quality Education by strengthening student competencies and promoting high-quality technical learning. The CpE Challenge also supports SDG 9: Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure, as it encourages technological innovation, engineering solutions, and research-oriented thinking among future engineers. Moreover, the regional event embodies SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals by fostering collaboration among universities, professional organizations, and students, helping build networks that drive shared progress in engineering education.
Beyond medals and trophies, the event served as a platform for learning, networking, and inspiration. Students connected with peers from other institutions, exchanged ideas, and gained valuable exposure to real-world engineering challenges.
