UC PICE Leads in Inter-University Bridge Building Competition

UC PICE students together with their UC-COE Faculty Coach Engr. Brian Jhay Guzman earned major distinctions in Load and Behold: The Ultimate Bridge Challenge held on November 22 at the CDRRMO as part of the PICE Baguio Civil Engineering Month Inter-University Bridge Building Competition. Competing against 11 teams from Baguio-based institutions, UC teams brought home the overall championship and special awards.

Team 1 – Overall Champion

The teams acknowledges Engr. Dominique Fernandez for technical guidance and Engr. Brian Jhay Guzman for coaching support throughout the preparation and competition.

This activity aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, particularly SDG 9: Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure, by promoting practical engineering skills, innovative structural design, and collaborative problem-solving. Through events like this, students engage in hands-on learning that advances sustainable and resilient infrastructure development.
